We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Manager/Biller/Coder to lead our healthcare practice's administrative and billing operations. Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the medical office, including patient scheduling, check-in/check-out procedures, and administrative support.
Ensure all patient records are maintained accurately, securely, and in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy to facilitate proper coding and billing.
Assign appropriate medical codes using current coding systems such as ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology).
Prepare, submit, and follow up on insurance claims to maximize reimbursement while minimizing denials.
Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations when necessary, and communicate with payers regarding claim status.
Train and supervise staff members involved in billing, coding, and administrative tasks to promote efficiency and accuracy.
Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations, coding guidelines, and billing practices to ensure compliance.
Skills
Proven experience in medical office management with strong knowledge of healthcare administration processes.
Expertise in medical billing and coding procedures using ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System), and payer-specific requirements.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, insurance companies, and team members.
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in documentation and coding practices.
