Overview

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable

Medical Biller

to join our small, supportive practice. The ideal candidate will have

at least 3 years of experience

and a solid understanding of medical billing processes, insurance claim submissions, and collections.

We are a close-knit team looking for someone who wants to grow with us and become a long-term member of our practice - not just gain temporary experience.

Experience working with

E-ClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR

is required. This role is crucial to ensuring accurate billing and timely collection of payments for medical services. The Medical Biller will collaborate closely with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues and maintain precise medical records.

Responsibilities

Review and verify patient information for accuracy prior to billing.

Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies using EMR systems.

Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collections process.

Communicate with patients regarding bills, payment options, and discrepancies.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and billing regulations.

Collaborate with the medical office team to resolve billing-related inquiries and issues.

Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations governing medical billing practices.

Requirements

Minimum

3 years of proven experience

in medical billing and coding.

Proficiency with E-ClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR

is essential.

Strong understanding of medical terminology and medical record management.

Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.

Certification in medical billing or coding

(preferred but not required).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.45 - $28.24 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
