$40/hr. (Stipends applicable for travellers)

Contract:

13 weeks with possible extension

Schedule:

410s / 58s available between Monday - Friday, no weekends

Summary:

Seeking an experienced Laboratory Medical Technician to support one of our facilities while performing a wide range of diagnostic testing and laboratory services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Blood Bank and Pediatric laboratory procedures, with experience in Cerner Millennium and Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics chemistry analyzers.

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing and analysis in compliance with established standards and procedures. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including Cerner Millennium and Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics chemistry analyzers. Conduct Blood Bank testing and support pediatric laboratory procedures. Record and interpret results accurately, ensuring quality control and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to support patient care. Maintain laboratory safety standards, ensure equipment calibration, and manage inventory. Support additional laboratory duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical laboratory experience required Registered Laboratory Technician with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) Blood Bank and Pediatric specimens experience required Current AHA BLS certification required Experience with Cerner Millennium EMR and Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics chemistry analyzers preferred Phlebotomy skills preferred, but not required.
