Job Description
Location: Hamilton, Ohio
Shift:
- 3rd shift, 10pm-6:30am
- Work 3 12\'s and every 3rd weekend
- Will work INDEPENDENTLY - small lab so only person working on this shift
- Will train on 1st shift - ideally only take a few weeks for training before moving to 3rd shift
- This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians.
- This position may work in any of the major areas of the laboratory: Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry and Fibrinolysis.
- This position operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments, utilizes laboratory computer system in performance of duties, maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures, and works under the supervision of a general supervisor, but works independently.
- Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting.
- Preparing biological samples for testing, including tissue, blood, urine, spinal fluid, and gastric juices.
- Performing serological, bacteriological, biochemical, hematological, and microbiological examinations on samples.
