: The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist performs a variety of laboratory tests of varying complexity to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Caregivers in this role will gain valuable experience and knowledge to help prepare them for workplace and career advancement.

Special area geographical differential of 5%

Sign on bonus of up to $2500

Referral bonus of $1500

Position schedule:11a-930p (7 days every two weeks) for a total of 70 per pay period or 35/wk * Will consider candidates who qualify as Registered or Unregistered

The Medical Lab Scientist performs testing in various departments of the clinical lab, such as Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Transfusion, and more. These scientists act as a technical expert to clinical staff, co-workers, and other departments. They are critical to patient diagnosis and care, ensuring accurate results through quality control, proficiency testing, calibrations, record review, instrument maintenance, and results/analyzer troubleshooting.

Intermountain caregivers in this role will have opportunities for growth, taking on additional responsibilities such as:

• Key operator
• QC review
• Training and mentoring new staff
• Assisting with evaluation and validation of new equipment
• Technical writing
• Compliance readiness (CAP, CLIA, etc.)
• Acting as interim Team Lead

This position requires organizational skills as well as the ability to navigate many technical processes with a high level of detail. These caregivers work well as a member of a team and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Medical Lab Scientist-Registered

Entry Pay: $30.34

• Bachelor\'s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory/medical technology science. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
• Medical Technologist / Medical Lab Scientist certification or equivalent certification as approved by Manager and Human Resources. Certification must be maintained to remain in job.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts that may include weekends, holidays, nights and on-call.

Medical Lab Scientist-Unregistered

Entry Pay: $27.60

• Bachelor\'s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory/medical technology science. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified. Or official transcripts demonstrating completion of a recognized and accredited program.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts that may include weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call.

• See and read lab equipment, monitors, and documents.
