Job Summary


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Front Office Specialist to join our healthcare team in our Autism Center. This vital role involves managing front desk operations, patient interactions, and administrative support within a busy medical practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, and excellent customer service abilities to ensure smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities



Greet patients and visitors professionally, providing exceptional patient service and phone etiquette. Schedule appointments, manage patient intake, and coordinate care plans efficiently using EMR systems such as Tebra, Practice Fusion, AdvancedMD, ABA Scheduling Software,. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification processes accurately. Collect payments and handle medical billing processes, including CPT and ICD coding for documentation review. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management. Manage multi-line phone systems and perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and document management. Assist with medical administrative support tasks including appointment reminders, follow-up calls, and patient communication. Support office management functions to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Requirements



Proven experience in a medical office setting, including front desk or medical receptionist roles. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Tebra, Practice Fusion, AdvancedMD, ABA Scheduling Software,. Experience with insurance verification, and documentation review processes. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems effectively. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations. Knowledge of dental terminology and dental office experience is desirable for dental clinics. Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and demonstrate attention to detail in all administrative tasks. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
