We are seeking a mature, reliable, and professional Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth operation of the front office. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Hours are Monday through Friday 9-5 with a half hour paid lunch. Benefits (PTO, health insurance, life insurance, disability, 401k) are available after 90 days.
Duties
Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
Check in patients for appointments to include verifying contact and insurance information and collecting co-pays.
Manage incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to appropriate staff members.
Schedule appointments and maintain the calendar for medical professionals.
Check and respond to messages throughout the day.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling patient information.
Collaborate with medical staff to enhance patient experience and streamline operations.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a medical receptionist, medical assistant, or with Athena EMR is advantageous, but on the job training is provided for all aspects of this position.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities.
