In this position you will perform the following job duties:
- Review and evaluate evidence pertaining to physical impairments and complete determinations of impairment severity and residual functional capacity.
- Complete documents pertaining to medical severity ratings of physical impairments in accordance with Social Security Administration (SSA) policy and in adherence to agency standards for quality.
- Obtain medical and/or functional evidence in order to complete a medical severity rating for physical impairments.
- Complete telephone calls and/or send correspondence to appropriate sources to obtain information as needed to complete medical severity ratings.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing and 4 years of clinical experience;
- or an Associate Degree in Nursing and 6 years of clinical experience.
Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.
Individuals selected for positions with the South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department\'s Disability Determination Service (DDS) will go through a complete federal background investigation. A suitability determination by the Social Security Administration is necessary to determine whether an employee can be issued credentials in order to have access to Social Security disability data, records, and systems.
