Position Highlights
Provide direct psychiatric care to inpatients, including comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
Oversee medication management and ensure evidence-based clinical practices are followed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote continuity and coordination of care within the psychiatric department
Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and other clinical staff as assigned
Participate in quality assurance initiatives and evaluations to maintain the highest standard of patient care
Demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills to support department operations
Ensure compliance with institutional, legal, and regulatory guidelines governing mental health services
Support the hospital's mission and model of care by promoting patient-centered practices and operational excellence

Candidate Requirements
Board Certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO)
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting preferred
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams
Active or eligible Connecticut medical license
Strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
