Job Summary:

Art of Life Med Spa is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) to serve as our Medical Director. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive medical oversight, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance within our aesthetic practice.

Key Responsibilities:



Clinical Oversight:

Provide direct and indirect supervision of all medical aesthetic procedures performed at the practice, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care and are performed safely and effectively. This includes treatments such as injectables (Botox, dermal fillers), laser therapies, chemical peels, microneedling, and other advanced aesthetic procedures.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal healthcare laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to medical aesthetics. This involves regularly updating protocols, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring staff training on compliance standards.

Staff Supervision:

Advise staff on proper techniques, safety protocols, and best practices in aesthetic medicine. Supervise and approve the competency of RN/NP injectors.

Patient Safety & Quality Control:

Prioritize patient safety by implementing robust quality assurance measures, monitoring treatment outcomes, handling complications, and continuously seeking improvements in patient care. Support safe operation of procedures such as botox, fillers, microneedling, and laser treatments. Oversee informed consent processes and documentation.

Patient Consultations:

Provide expert medical consultations for complex cases or new clients, determining appropriate treatment plans and addressing patient concerns.

Qualifications:



Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Active, unrestricted medical license in Illinois. Board Certification in a specialty relevant to aesthetic medicine (e.g., Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, or other related fields). Experience in performing and overseeing a wide range of aesthetic and non-surgical procedures. Thorough understanding of healthcare laws and regulations specific to medical aesthetics in Illinois. Strong communication skills. Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:



Additional certifications in aesthetic procedures (e.g., injectables, lasers competency of RN/NP injectors) Experience with business management in a medical spa or aesthetic practice setting.

Compensation:

Salary and Percentage-based compensation model

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $140.00 - $200.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 4 per week
