Location: Knoxville, TN (Less than 10% Travel)



Position Summary: The Marketing Specialist will be involved in various phases of marketing and product management support. The Marketing Specialist works closely with Product Managers, Creative Services Managers, and the Sr. Director of Marketing and other cross-functional groups, to prioritize market trends, opportunities, and support the launch of new products. Part of the upstream marketing management process may involve organizing and collaborating with existing product management teams to develop products/concepts that meet market needs. Responsibilities include attending meetings, incorporating meeting decisions into practice, and providing follow-up and documentation of decisions. Downstream marketing management requires strong writing skills and competency with marketing collateral coordination, including website audits, advertising, graphic design, editing/copywriting ads, and internet and social media content.

Key Responsibilities:



Product Acumen: Be an internal and external resource for questions related to assigned product lines. Training: Help plan and conduct in-field and in-office product training for new and experienced sales team members. Help with coordination efforts for product training events and for internal ChoiceSpine team members. Sales Support: Build and keep strong relationships with customers and their support staff. Identify potential sales opportunities and work with the sales team to meet the company's revenue goals.
Assist product managers by routing marketing collateral through the internal compliance system.

Under the supervision of product managers, create marketing materials such as surgical technique guides, brochures, videos, and presentations.

With support from Product Managers, conduct market and competitive analysis and customer feedback to gather information for strategic initiatives.

Coordination and delivery of content and providing hands-on training at CSU events. Coordinate and submit ideas and advertising materials for print and web distribution to the creative services manager. Review collaterals for errors before printing or publishing. Creation of quick reference guides and competitive analysis. Utilize industry software and intel tools to uncover leads, distributors, surgeons, and industry partners. General event planning; tradeshows, training events, and VIP visits. Audit and recommend updating the brand standard to the legacy portfolio. Conduct analytics on product usage and provide recommendations to Product Managers on service gaps, underperformance, or new opportunities.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:



Four-year degree in marketing, engineering, biology, communications, or related field required. Minimum of one year of experience in a medical device role or internship preferred. Understanding of market analysis, planning, development, and management principles.

Experience is gathering qualitative product data and consumer feedback.

Ability to analyze industry trends and competitive behavior.

Aptitude to identify improved product features and contribute to marketing strategies.

Must demonstrate attention to detail, as well as superior organization and multi-tasking skills.

Excellent, professional written and oral communication skills.

Outstanding interpersonal communications skills.

Initiative-taking with an intense sense of ownership in areas of responsibility.

The candidate must be results-oriented, an adaptive learner, responsive to the urgent needs of the team, and show a strong record of meeting deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
