Lakeview Healthcare Billing is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our company.

Job Type:

Part time with possibility of leading to Full time

Expected Hours:

Approximately 15-20 hours per week with the possibility of more hours in the future

Job Requirements:

Excellent communication skills, professional customer service, and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects and clients simultaneously. Hours are flexible but must have availability during standard business hours. Knowledge of billing software systems is preferred. Computer and spreadsheet savvy. Maintain patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Ability to work well independently but also in a virtual team setting. Must agree to a background check. Position is 100% remote with preference for candidates to reside within 150 miles of Clear Lake, Iowa. A quiet, secure home office area is required.
Experience:

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of recent experience working in a provider office or medical clinic. Previous experience in Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, and Occupational Therapy, and with preauthorizations. Proficient in electronic medical records and billing software systems.
