North Canyon Management is a full-service billing company primarily serving behavioral health providers. We are seeking a qualified and dedicated medical billing A/R specialist to join our amazing team. All team members will work remote! Hours worked must be between 6am and 5pm Mon-Fri. In this position, you will be responsible for variety of tasks requiring a high level of organization, in-depth evaluation, and sound judgment. As a medical billing A/R specialist, your daily duties will include working denials at the clearinghouse level, investigating and/or appealing denied claims and calling on all outstanding insurance claims from the aging reports run monthly to ensure proper claims reimbursement. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as communication with the various health plans will be a large part of the job.

Minimum Qualifications:

- 1 year prior healthcare revenue cycle management experience in a billing department or like setting preferred.

- Experience in behavioral health setting is preferred.

- Ability to perform data entry accurately, efficiently, and quickly

- Ability to follow up and resolve outstanding claims

- Proficient in reading and understanding Remittance Advice/EOBs.

- Experience with Practice Management software.

- Experience working with Microsoft office, OneDrive, Excel, Outlook and Word

- Strong organizational skills.

- Strong, clear communication skills.

- Acute attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.

- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple deadlines successfully

- Ability to logically and efficiently analyze issues

- Must have a desktop or laptop of your own dedicated to your work with NCM, high speed internet and a workspace in your home where you can work in private.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
