High volume Family Medical practice in Troy, Michigan is seeking a medical assistant. Qualified candidates must have great interpersonal skills and be self-starters who are organized, able to multitask, efficient with time management, willing to learn and capable of excelling in fast-paced, high-energy situations, job duties include patient intake (chief complaint, vitals, medication reconciliation, etc.), performing testing (EKG, PFT, urinalysis, strep, flu, allergy scratch test, x-rays, hearing, etc.), administering injections, addressing medication requests and submitting medications electronically, insurance prior authorization, phlebotomy (blood draw), wound care, medical documentation, HIPPA privacy compliance, communicating with patients answering questions and providing test results and providing assistance to physicians for a variety of procedures and other patient care. Applicants must at a minimum have basic computer skills. Medical and customer service experience are preferred. No certification is necessary. Office hours are Mon-Fri 8-6pm and Sat 8-1pm. Must be available to work as late as 6:30pm.
