Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. We are a primary care practice that uses modern medicine while incorporating holistic therapies to help people live longer, happier, healthier lives. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility. This position requires proficiency in various clinical tasks, including medication administration and vital signs monitoring, while also possessing a solid understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Administer medications as directed by providers. Measure and record vital signs accurately. Prepare rooms and patients for procedures. Maintain sterile fields Clean and autoclave instruments Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care plans and follow-up appointments. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures. Support the medical team in various clinical tasks as needed. Answer phones, schedule patients and input patients/insurance information into the EHR. Take payment from patients.

Skills

Proficient in medication administration techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to various specialties including men and women's primary care, hormone replacement, and weight loss. Phlebotomy skills for lab draws. Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction. Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 - 32 per week
