Job Title: Mental Health Medical Assistant

: The Mental Health Medical Assistant supports our mental health providers (DO, NP, PA, and 3rd and 4th year Residents) ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of patient confidentiality, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Skills and Abilities:

Clinical Skills: Proficiency in taking vital signs, administering injections, and basic medical procedures Assist the providers by organizing and preparing charts for providers throughout the day Prepare and administer in clinic treatments as directed/ordered by the provider (Ketamine/Spravato), adhering to all safety protocols and documentation requirements Educate patients on medication instructions, treatment plans, and self care techniques as instructed by the provider Administrative Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively Technical Skills: Proficient in computer applications, including Google Workspace and EHR systems (Valant io) Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and clearly with diverse patient populations Interpersonal Skills: Empathetic, compassionate, and patient-centered approach. Ability to build rapport and trust with patients Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and independently Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to ethical standards Confidentiality: Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient privacy Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment
Other Duties:

Participate in team meetings and training sessions. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the clinic.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

Experience: 3 or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a mental health, psychiatric, or behavioral health setting.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
