The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life. The MA performs a variety of technical, clerical, patient care and general support functions under the direction of the physician and manager.
Facilitate efficient flow of patients through the clinic. Assists the P.A. or physician with aspects of patient care. Performs a variety of technical tasks specified through department specific credentialing. Performs a variety of clerical and support functions including patient scheduling, answering phone calls and maintaining department inventory.Greets patients and visitors into the clinic in a prompt courteous and professional manner. Performs Quality Control checks. Document patient care in the medical record. Qualifications Completion of a Medical Assistant Program plus 1 year of medical assistant experience, or at least 2 years of medical assistant experience Computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
