Job Summary

Cardiologist office looking for a Full time Medical Office Assistant/EKG technician. The person will provide administrative support to Clinicians and patients to ensure smoothly functioning office operations and good patient relations. He/She will interact with patients, patients' families, referring Physicians, and third-party carriers to address patient-related issues. He/She will collaborate with additional clinic team members, including billing staff, in a range of administrative duties. We are looking for empathetic candidates with good attention to detail for the position of Medical Assistant. Candidates must be able to multi-task and work in a high-volume medical office.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

Working from the Office location in Pikesville , the EKG technician will offer friendly, courteous assistance to every patient to ensure the patient has a positive, professional experience. Performing EKG's Taking patient vitals and entering in chart Chart prep: Entering labs in flowsheets, indexing EKG's and medical correspondence. Placing Event Monitors on patient's Covering front desk (checking patient's in/out) Maintaining patient rooms as well as stocking supplies Maintaining medications Medical Administrative Support. Professionally and efficiently handle incoming inquiries and requests from patients, ensuring that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly. Gather patient information, fulfill patient needs, educate patients, where applicable, to prevent the need for future contacts and document interactions in applicable systems. Provide quality service and support in a variety of areas which may include, but not limited to scheduling, registration, and care coordination
We are looking for a mature candidate who have the ability to multi-task. The candidate will be working closely with Physician's to complete daily tasks. IT skills a must with ability to change with evolving protocol's. Looking for candidate who has a keen understanding medical terminology. Prior Cardiology experience a plus.
