We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Testing Services Manager to lead our destructive testing operation, which supports the welding qualification process. Responsibilities
Consult with customers to understand testing requirements, recommend products/services, processing service orders and related reports, handling inquiries and complaints.
Manage daily operations of the mechanical testing laboratory, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization
Develop, implement, and maintain standardized testing procedures aligned with industry standards such as ISO-17025, NIST, and standard manufacturing practices
Supervise laboratory staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of safety and technical proficiency
Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and validation of testing equipment to guarantee accurate and reliable results
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to laboratory operations and data integrity
Collect, analyze, and interpret test data; prepare detailed reports per customer requirements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency, safety protocols, and testing methodologies
Skills
Extensive knowledge of weld testing requirements defined in ASME, AWS, API, NAVSEA, MIL-STD and similar fabrication codes and standards.
Extensive knowledge of laboratory management principles and techniques in mechanical testing (bend, tensile, impact, macro-etch, hardness, etc.)
Strong understanding of ISO-17025, NIST, and standard manufacturing practices relevant to mechanical testing environments
Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent analysis skills with a focus on data collection accuracy and detailed reporting capabilities
Proven project management skills to coordinate testing schedules, resource planning, and cross-functional department collaboration
