Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager

Location: South Bend, IN (Onsite)

Salary Range: $95,000 to 110,000/Year

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated

Mechanical Project Manager

to oversee all phases of mechanical construction projects from initiation to closeout. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop project execution, staffing, and scheduling plans for labor, subcontractors, and materials. Coordinate and ensure adherence to project contracts, drawings, permits, and specifications. Manage project workload, priorities, and deadlines to achieve performance and budget targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and field teams. Communicate project status, progress, and risks to key stakeholders and leadership. Track and report project financial performance from initiation through completion. Negotiate and procure project materials, vendors, and subcontractors. Ensure job site safety and compliance with OSHA and company standards. Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, contracts, and closeout materials. Support warranty, QA/QC, and customer service activities as required. Perform special assignments and assist other project teams as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate degree in Construction, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred. Proven experience managing mechanical projects successfully from start to finish. Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and mechanical systems. Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Understanding of electrical and mechanical installation sequencing a plus.
