We are looking for a Productibility Project Engineer Co-Op that will be supporting Design for Manufacturability & Assembly during the proposal and product definition phase of design. This individual will be responsible for:

• Support producibility assessments and design to cost assessment on current product, products in development and in proposal.
• Support product cost reduction projects
• Support core manufacturing technologies required to support the Product Line strategy

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run June-December (including the Fall semester); it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity
What You Will Do:

• Review Design for Manufacturability & Assembly processes during the proposal and product definition phase to ensure a successful transition to production
• Perform detail print, engineering cost reviews for part producibility
• Perform and/or support Design to Cost (DTC) tracking
• Make vs. Buy supply decision
• Implement process control methods and strategies to proactively address issues and reduce process variation
• Collaborate with OPS to troubleshoot production WIP, customer returns, identify trends and implement corrective actions to improve yield and reduce number of customer escapes

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Must be a commutable distance to Rockford, IL to work an onsite schedule. This position may be eligible for relocation.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
