Position Overview:



Prospect Construction is looking for a skilled Mechanical Piping Superintendent to manage crews, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safe, high-quality installation on large-scale industrial projects

This position requires hands-on leadership in the field, with a focus on mechanical scopes of work associated with

wastewater and water treatment facilities

, including

process piping, pump stations, mechanical equipment installation, and structural supports

.

The Mechanical Superintendent will lead and manage

self-perform crews

, coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, and ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents. You will be responsible for scheduling, execution, and quality control for all assigned mechanical tasks on site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion, gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the jobsite. Creates task and phase specific work plans for all key elements of work on the project. Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed. Communicate with project team regarding RFI's, and Material Submittals. Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts. Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions. Ensure that subcontractors are executing and complying with contracted scope of work as well as complying with safety, health, and environmental quality standards. Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions. Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite. Walk project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning and perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion. Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work, Preside at pre-construction meetings with each subcontractor. Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regard to quality of work or scheduling.

Qualifications Required

:

Minimum of Five (5) years of verifiable heavy civil experience required. Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction experience a plus. Software proficiency in Blue Beam, Microsoft office (Excel, word, project & Outlook) is also preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration. Provide directions to and resolve problems among subcontractors and vendors. Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution. Communicate using the following tools: telephone, fax machine, written logs, email, computer, smart phone, digital camera. Physically able to safely lift up to 100 lbs. Endurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures. Abide by Prospect Safety and Health policies, monitor jobsite general health and safety.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
