Mechanical Estimator - Heavy Industrial / EPC

Position in Phoenix AZ

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator with a strong background in piping, pressure vessels, structural steel, and mechanical systems for EPC and industrial projects. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of estimating experience and a proven ability to deliver accurate, comprehensive proposals on projects up to $100M preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical, piping, pressure vessel, and structural steel scopes Develop conceptual and detailed estimates using drawings, 3D models, P&IDs, and industry standards Support proposal development, pricing books, and bid submissions Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to validate scope, pricing, and material costs Build and maintain estimating databases, tools, and historical cost records Provide technical clarifications, RFIs, and support design/fabrication issue resolution Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, and construction teams to ensure accuracy and alignment

Qualifications:

8+ years of mechanical and piping estimating experience within EPC or industrial environments Strong knowledge of ASME and piping design codes Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, AutoPlant, Microstation) Experience with fabrication estimating, scheduling, and proposal preparation Detail-oriented, reliable, and skilled in cost control and project coordination Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - Preferred

Pay: $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
