Our client, a leader in manufacturing and metallurgical processes, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Carburization to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer with Carburization, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting process development and technical support initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer with Carburization
Location: Raleigh Durham Metro Area, North Carolina
Pay Range:$83,000 - $130,000+ DOE plus benefits, relocation
What's the Job?

• Lead technical support for carburization, heat treatment, and furnace processes to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, schedule preventive maintenance, and work with vendors to ensure equipment reliability.
• Conduct data collection, analysis, and process improvements using systems like Windchill to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
• Support internal audits, KPI tracking, and develop action plans to drive continuous process improvements.
• Manage small to medium-scale projects, including coordinating subcontractors and suppliers to meet project goals.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience working with furnaces, carburization, and heat treatment processes.
• Strong skills in data analysis, process design, and engineering implementation.
• Ability to work independently, provide technical guidance, and collaborate effectively with teams.
• Knowledge of safety policies, confined space procedures, and compliance standards.
