Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.
Responsibilities

Lead multi-disciplinary technical team supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, Rhode Island (NUWC).
Review and approve all mechanical engineering portions of technical data packages related to submarine launcher systems.
Conduct ship-checks and operation testing on-board and on land based test facilities.
Develop and conduct submarine crew operational, safety, maintenance and casualty training.
Create 3D models and 2D drawings of systems
Complete engineering analysis packagegs for system components through Finite Element Analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil or structural engineering.
Ability to maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Submarines
At least 7+ years experience in upgrading current and developing new submarine launcher systems.

Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $80,100.00/Yr. - USD $133,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
