Who We Are
Pulpmill Services, Inc. (PSI) primary business is the manufacturing, installation, repair and refurbishing of rotary vacuum washer equipment, diversifying into industrial general construction including concrete, structural steel, piping and mechanical projects. PSI is a full-service fabrication, welding, and machine shop utilizing advanced CNC machines, water jet and plasma tables and large horizontal and vertical milling machines.
Summary/objective
This is a skilled level position which requires the ability to design mechanical equipment according to customer specifications.
This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of duties including, but not limited to the following key functions:
Essential Functions

• Perform mechanical and process calculations to determine design parameters.
• Draft mechanical designs (2D and 3D) for welding, fabrication, machining and installation.
• Perform all duties safely.
• Willing to learn and perform other tasks and duties as needed.

Competencies

• Ability to take physical measurements with precision instruments to determine design parameters.
• Ability to travel throughout North America to take field measurements for various projects.
• Familiar with industrial equipment design.
• Understanding of rotary equipment, bearings and drives/gears.
• Ability to interact with customers to determine design requirements and preferences.
• Familiar with fabrication and machining processes.
• Understands reasonable manufacturing tolerances and abilities.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly in written form or verbally so that instructions can be followed with minimal chance of error.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member with other personnel.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 2+ years applicable experience.

Additional eligibility requirements

• Valid Driver's License or State Issued ID.
• Able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Work authorization/security clearance requirements

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• 80k+/year (exact rate to be determined based on experience and qualifications)
