Corning's Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.
Scope of Position:
This technical internship offers a unique opportunity for engineering students to apply scientific principles and innovative thinking to improve processes, strengthen design capabilities, and enhance both new and existing products. You will have the chance to work collaboratively across organizational boundaries and contribute to impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities
As an intern, your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Experimentation & Analysis: Designing, executing, and analyzing experiments to drive a deeper understanding of processes and systems.
• Data Interpretation: Analyzing and interpreting data to generate actionable insights, and preparing reports to share findings with team members and leadership.
• Hands-on Work: Conducting practical work in manufacturing environments to support project objectives.
• Communication: Clearly communicating project updates and outcomes through memos, technical reports, and presentations to supervisors, team members, and leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in a Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering discipline.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to develop solutions with peers.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and project demands.
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with additional software applications, such as SolidWorks, PI ProcessBook, or PI Vision.
• Data analytics skills to support decision-making and process optimization.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

?The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
