Job Description

The Mechanical Designer/Drafter will provide design enhancements for existing equipment and assist in designing new projects. This position assists in the production of agricultural, erosion control and construction equipment through design, drafting and manufacturing the equipment for sale to our customers. As a member of our team, you will work to develop 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and many other activities to support the engineering design process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and draft components for new projects utilizing SolidWorks

Design enhancements of existing projects utilizing SolidWorks

Create detailed drawings in conformance to Burchland drafting standards

Create and execute engineering change requests of existing projects

Perform drawing corrections and revisions as directed by the engineer

Ability to understand and conform to all applicable industry standards

Assist with prototype builds

Occasional site visits to ensure equipment working correctly

Investigate and implement cost reduction strategies

Present final designs and drawings for design reviews

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
