The Mechanical Design Engineer - Electric Motors will be responsible for the following:

• Design and develop mechanical components for electric motors, including housings, shafts, bearings, and cooling systems.
• Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
• Perform tolerance analysis, stress analysis, and thermal considerations for motor assemblies.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation of motor designs.
• Prepare documentation including BOMs, specifications, and design reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance motor performance and manufacturability.

The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer - Electric Motors will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with electric motors or rotating equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with thermal management and vibration analysis.
• Familiarity with motor standards (IEC, NEMA) and industry regulations.
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing and advanced machining techniques.
