Empower Rental Group is hiring a Mechanic!

Empower Rental Group is a family of local equipment rental providers across the Southeastern US. We began with 3 locations in 2021 with the goal of being the difference in the equipment rental industry by doing everything differently. We now have over 31 locations (crazy right?) and we are adding a level 4 Mechanic to our team in the Jackson, TN \xe2\x80\x93 C&C Equipment Rental & Sales location!

Our Mechanics prepare rental equipment for delivery, make appropriate modifications and repairs to units before delivery, and clean units before delivery. Our Mechanic repairs and cleans equipment upon return from customer sites and completes service calls on units currently located at customer sites as assigned. Our Mechanics also complete preventative maintenance as needed as well as general yard work such as cleaning or preparing areas of work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists customers with loading and unloading fleet orders.
• Assists customers with questions/customer service as applicable.
• Assists other mechanics with tasks such as lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Cleans up the yard and shop area.
• May perform repairs on the small fleet.
• Diagnose complex issues with heavy equipment powertrain, and hydraulic and electrical systems using a computer analyzer and traditional troubleshooting methods.
• Completes complex repairs to fleet.
• Completes inspections.
• Completes repairs on company vehicles.
• Maintains a safe work environment. Performs job functions safely at all times.
• Demonstrates behaviors aligned with Company\xe2\x80\x99s Core Values at all times.
• Assists in driving a continuous improvement strategy within the business to result in ongoing incremental gains in quality and efficiency.

Job Requirements:

• Over 5 years of experience
• Valid Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and the Ability to Drive Company Vehicles per Insurance Requirements may be required on a case-by-case basis, depending on branch needs.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills \xe2\x80\x93 for both internal and external customers.
• Exhibits average computer skills.
• Completes rental equipment preparation by delivery date.
• Maintains a ready line.
• Achieves quality standards.
• Must have own basic tools.
