Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production, food preparation, and meat cutting, with a strong focus on food safety and quality. This role involves preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products to meet customer specifications while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. The Meat Cutter will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive fresh, high-quality products and excellent service.

Duties

Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer orders and company standards Operate knives and cutting equipment safely and efficiently Package meat products for retail or wholesale distribution, ensuring proper labeling and presentation Maintain cleanliness of the work area, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and monitoring product freshness Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to health and safety guidelines Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed Follow all food industry regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and quality control

Requirements

Experience with a commercial saw Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques Experience with breaking down sides of beef and hogs Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience with packaging meat products for retail or wholesale environments Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent customer service skills for engaging with customers professionally Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights as needed, and work in refrigerated cutting room. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
