Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meat Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Meat Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their meat selections, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and sanitation, and maintaining an organized and clean work environment. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Bilingual in Mandarin is a huge plus

Must be available 2:00pm to 9:00pm, Work schedule will vary with days off

Responsibilities

Must be able to lift 50lbs throughout shift Assist customers in selecting and purchasing meat products while providing knowledgeable recommendations. Prepare various meat items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Operate Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for transactions and maintain accurate cash handling practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department, including regular sanitation of work areas. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers. Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as necessary. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the department.

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha or Micros, is advantageous. Background in food service, quick service restaurants, or grocery stores is beneficial. Strong understanding of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Experience in cashiering, sales, or customer service within the food industry is highly desirable. Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions and inventory management. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
