Available for consultation and direction of M-CeRT program team members.
Provides triage services for all crisis referrals to determine appropriateness of admission to crisis program or alternative referral recommendation.
Actively participates in the MAP team. Triages mental health cases before MAP team presentation.
Provides 24-hour emergency on-call scheduling to ensure adequate access to crisis services.
Participates in clinical staffing's as requested to ensure access to needed services.
Seeks opportunities to present information regarding individuals who experience crisis.
Meets with local community agencies to market program and how to access services.
Maintains client confidentiality at all times.
Provides assessments, individual, group, and family therapy in compliance with DMH standards.
Provides or ensures face-to-face assessment within 2 hours of initial contact when deemed appropriate.
Serves on the crisis response team when assigned.
Documents appropriate activities in case note format that justify the need for treatment.
Completes and submits service logs per agency policy when needed.
Maintains case record documentation that is adequate, appropriate, complete, and timely.
Monitors and reviews program case records for compliance with DMH standards.
Maintains complete and accurate records of crisis program activities. Submits monthly reports to the Department of Mental Health as required by the M-CeRT grant.
Responds to clients' needs in an appropriate and timely manner.
Demonstrates appropriate interactions with coworkers that promote a pleasant work environment.
Completes additional job duties assigned by supervisor.
Maintains professional certification and/or licensure and seeks clinical training opportunities.
Participates in interagency collaboration for the provision of client services when appropriate.
Participates in the 24-hour emergency on-call rotation for the program.
Education & Qualification Requirements
Required
Master's degree in behavioral science or related field.
Clinical Licensure or DMH certification
Preferred
Previous experience as a therapist in a mental health setting strongly preferred.
Previous experience working with an SMI/SED in a treatment setting strongly preferred.
