We are seeking a skilled Mazak Horizontal Mill Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating CNC machines, particularly Mazak horizontal mills, and possess a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and quality control. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating complex milling equipment to produce precision parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates with knowledge of Fanuc controls, CNC programming, and fabrication techniques will excel in this position. The successful applicant will contribute to maintaining high standards of production efficiency and product quality within our manufacturing facility. MAZATROL M32 AND 640.
Duties
Set up and operate Mazak horizontal milling machines, ensuring precise machining according to technical drawings and specifications
Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to ensure dimensional accuracy
Perform troubleshooting on CNC equipment, including Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), to minimize downtime
Maintain machine tools, including tooling setup, calibration, and basic maintenance tasks such as lubrication and cleaning
Read blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining requirements
Handle materials safely using forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed for materials handling and fabrication processes
Assist with assembly line tasks or fabrication processes as required to support production goals
Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools and factory safety procedures
Qualifications
Proven experience operating Mazak CNC milling machines or similar CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of CNC programming and CNC lathe operations is preferred
Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Experience with CAD software like SolidWorks is advantageous
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and inspection processes
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot CNC machinery effectively
Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience preferred but not mandatory
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
