Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor to provide personalized academic support across a variety of subjects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in areas such as mathematics, and have experience working with diverse student populations, including children and adolescents. This role involves developing tailored lesson plans, utilizing learning technology, and fostering an engaging learning environment to help students achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities

Deliver one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in subjects including Math (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry, AP Cal, AP Stat) Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet individual student needs and learning styles. Utilize various learning technologies and digital tools to enhance instruction. Assist students with understanding complex concepts through effective lesson planning and classroom management techniques. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Create a positive and motivating environment that encourages student engagement and confidence. Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance.

Requirements

Proven experience working with students of different ages and educational backgrounds. Strong knowledge in at least one or more of the following areas: Math (including Algebra, Geometry, AP Calculus & Statistics) Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning strategies. Proficiency with learning technology and digital educational tools. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly. Experience with classroom management and adapting teaching methods to diverse learning needs. Prior experience in tutoring or teaching at a school or higher education institution is preferred. Ability to motivate students and foster a supportive learning environment. Relevant educational background or certifications in education or specialized subject areas are advantageous.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
