Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated, passionate , and well-rounded K-12 Tutors to join our educational team. The tutor must be experienced and an expert in their subject matter. Bonus points if the tutor is well-rounded especially with High School ELA and Math so as to be able to tutor the SAT/ACT.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students of all ages. This role involves providing personalized instruction, developing engaging lesson plans, and utilizing various learning technologies to enhance the educational experience. The Tutor will work closely with students to identify their academic needs and help them achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the individual needs of students. Utilize learning technology to create interactive and engaging learning experiences. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in various subjects, adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles. Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes student engagement and participation. Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a respectful and productive atmosphere for all learners. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to support student learning objectives. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding achievements and areas for improvement.

Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong understanding of curriculum development and lesson planning. Familiarity with learning technologies that enhance the educational process. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Experience working with children or adults in an educational setting is highly desirable. Background in special education or early childhood education is a plus. Ability to manage a classroom effectively while maintaining a positive learning environment. A passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed academically.
Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
