Knower Academics strives to provide students with flexible and customized educational support. Our instructors specialize in one-to-one academic support. Energetic and motivated, each instructor brings their unique skill set to the table. We operate as a team to help each student meet their academic goals.

Hours

Priority on hiring part-time Flexible schedule. Employee determines times they are available to meet with students. Full-time opportunities available.

Desired Qualities

Specialization in Math, or Physics instruction/tutoring. Teaching or tutoring experience. Passion for teaching and education. Versatile skill set and interested in learning/teaching multiple subjects. Able to connect with students. Can teach material in engaging ways to diverse learning styles. Has a positive, solution-oriented attitude. Available for regularly-scheduled instruction. Available to provide both in-person and remote instruction. Has a desire to work for Knower Academics long term.

Requirements

Must pass a background check. Able to connect with students. Can teach material in engaging ways to diverse learning styles. Able to work independently. Is timely and patient. Clear communicator with the ability to work well and empathize with others. Professional demeanor and excellent organizational skills. Regular and reliable work attendance.

Responsibilities

Review classroom assignments. Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, and other academic tasks. Work with students to help them understand key concepts and develop executive functioning skills. Deliver curriculum and lesson plans that meet student needs. Communicate in a professional, compassionate manner with all stakeholders, including students, families, teachers, and co-workers. Assume a high level of personal responsibility for your students and their academic progress.

Benefits

401 (k) matching: Available for all employees over age 21. Up to 4% of employee's pay. Health care: Available for full-time employees, employer pays 50% of employee's premium cost. Employee is responsible for full premium cost of any family members who are added to the plan.
