Position Summary



North Side Community School is seeking a Math Interventionist to join our elementary team.

The Math Interventionist provides targeted support for students and teachers to improve math

achievement and understanding. This position primarily involves pushing into classrooms to

assist with small-group instruction, guided practice, and real-time coaching to strengthen

mathematical reasoning and fluency.



The ideal candidate will be skilled in analyzing student data, identifying learning gaps, and

designing tiered interventions that align with the school's math curriculum and Missouri Learning Standards.



In addition to instructional duties, the Math Interventionist will assist with arrival/dismissal,

meal, and recess supervision as part of our team-based school culture.


Essential Functions



? Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers to plan and deliver differentiated math

instruction and interventions.

? Use formative and summative assessment data to identify student needs and monitor

progress toward individual and grade-level goals.

? Design and implement Tier I, II, and III math interventions aligned with evidence-based

practices.

? Support teachers in delivering high-quality math instruction by modeling strategies, co-

teaching lessons, and providing feedback.

? Provide small-group and individual instruction focused on key math skills such as

number sense, problem solving, and conceptual understanding.

? Participate in data meetings, student support team meetings, and progress-monitoring

reviews.

? Communicate regularly with parents and staff regarding student progress and support

strategies.

? Support the coordination and administration of math assessments and benchmark

testing.

? Supervise students during arrival, lunch, recess, and dismissal as part of the school's

shared supervision plan.

? Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention plans.

? Knowledge of evidence-based math instructional strategies and interventions.

? Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive instruction and decision-making.

? Familiarity with Tier I, II, and III intervention frameworks.

? Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families.

Education and Certification



Education:



? Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Education or related field required.

? Degree in Mathematics Education or Elementary Education preferred.

? Minimum of 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience required.

Certification:

? Missouri state teaching certificate (or eligibility to receive).
