As a
Materials Specialist,
you will manage the procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory control of materials to meet organizational needs. This position is available on our first shift. (7 am-3:30 pm).
What You'll Do:
IFS Implementation set up and ownership for the Raymond Facility
Meticulously managing the procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory control of materials to meet organizational demands.
Analyze material supply chains to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
Develop and maintain material requirement planning systems
Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely material acquisition
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment
Research, determine, and suggest ways of improving systems.
Work with production to minimize downtime caused by material shortages
Enforce material handling protocols to avoid discrepancies or delays
Implement best practices for inventory management / regular Audits
Coordinate disposal of obsolete or surplus materials
Serve as an Individual contributor while working under limited supervision.
Oversee Materials group (short term)* Additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
High school diploma and relevant work experience required
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Basic understanding of Lean principles and methodologies
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members
Good communication skills to share ideas and feedback
Basic to intermediate level computer skills for data entry and reporting; intermediate knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Ability to perform multiple tasks frequently in a typical work environment
Proficient in the use of Inventory management systems.
Demonstrated good attendance record and reliability
