Job Description

C&J Equipment Manufacturing has been a dedicated leader in full-service manufacturing since 1978. We manufacture superior quality equipment by implementing excellence in design and quality control. We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Materials Processing Lead to oversee the receiving, inspection, and processing of incoming steel and related materials. This role is hands-on and detail-oriented, ensuring all materials meet quality standards and are properly documented, stored, and prepared for production.

This position includes, but is not limited to the following:

Receive, unload, and verify incoming steel and materials against purchase orders and packing lists Inspect materials for quality, damage, and specification compliance Coordinate material processing activities such as cutting, sorting, labeling, or staging Maintain accurate inventory records and material tracking systems Operate forklifts, cranes, or other material-handling equipment (as applicable) Ensure safe handling and storage of materials in accordance with company standards Communicate with purchasing and production teams regarding material status
Successful candidates will have:

Experience in material handling, steel processing, warehousing, or manufacturing Knowledge of steel types, grades, and basic processing methods preferred Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, and material certifications Strong organizational and leadership skills Comfortable working in an industrial environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
