We have an outstanding opportunity for a material handler in our shipping and receiving department at our Harold, SD location.
Summary:
Picks up and loads customer orders and ensures that all orders are received according to company policies by performing the following duties. Our goal is to build a good product with an emphasis on quality, safety and regulatory compliance and legality.
Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Loads and unloads outgoing and incoming shipments.
Picks and stages orders and loads for shipment.
Performs physical inventory counts of finished products and ingredients.
Prepares all outgoing shipment paperwork including bills of lading.
Inspects lifts and forklifts on a daily basis.
Performs equipment maintenance as directed.
Performs special projects as assigned, to include equipment maintenance.
Food Safety Responsibilities
Ensure that all ingredients appear to be free from contamination
Ensure the proper specifications are met with each product
Verify that all records are updated on the server and all documents are complete
Follow appropriate procedures for clearing the rail cars that have been fumigated
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred; and six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
