Job Description
Job Summary:
Ideal Candidate will have a broad knowledge of marine logistics on bulk and breakbulk loading of base materials (sand, aggregates, cement powder), and the experience to manage both material(s) and marine logistics simultaneously. The focus of the role is to ensure that material required to support various projects is delivered, tracked, and dispatched on schedule according to the operational needs of the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with all operational departments to ascertain material requirements.
Liaise with material suppliers to ensure stock volumes and place orders.
Ensure that material is handled, transported and delivered on time.
Ensure that transported materials are dispatched in a timely manner and provide ETA's.
Provide continuous real time material tracking from manufacturer to end user.
Develop and support supply chain objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Manage and monitor inventory capacity of various products in multiple locations.
Provide internal and external customers with any delays to product supply chains.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Must have good communication skills
Must pay attention to detail and demonstrate independent reasoning and judgment.
Must have the ability to work on and contribute to production improvement, associate involvement and temporary teams as assigned.
Knowledge of logistics software.
Ability to work under pressure to fulfill agreed deadlines.
Minimum 10yrs marine logistics
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
