Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of material handlers, ensuring that they adhere to established safety procedures and guidelines.

Oversee the receiving, storing, and organizing of materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure efficient workflow and space utilization.

Collaborate with procurement and purchasing teams to ensure that all materials are ordered and delivered on time, and in accordance with quality standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, logistics, and quality control, to ensure smooth material flow and timely delivery to meet production schedules.

Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to streamline material handling operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to material handling activities, including receiving reports, inventory counts, and material movement records.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for material handling and storage.

Familiarity with ERP and Shipping and Receiving systems.

Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and demands.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience in material handling or inventory management, with at least 3-5 years of supervisory experience.

Certification in material handling equipment operation, such as forklift certification, is highly desirable.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines, related to material handling and storage.

Proficiency in using computer systems and software.

Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and operate material handling equipment.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and collaborate with internal teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
