Job Description

1. Keep all material and components properly identified and in their designated areas.

2. Safely move material from one area of the plant to another, using forklift, in a timely manner.

3. Keep areas surrounding equipment clear of parts or other material.

4. Move parts to appropriate scrap areas, when necessary, and dispose of (grind, throw away, recycle).

5. Place product into designated containers according to customer specification and company procedures.

6. Follows all applicable work and packaging instructions.

7. Load/unload trucks as necessary.

8. Change bucks and repair racks as required.

9. Complete forklift inspections and checklists.

10. Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area in accordance with company standards.

11. Alert supervisor, manager or team leader if complications or defects occur with the parts/packaging.

12. Document all activities as required.

13. Provide support and maintain compliance with all company guidelines, union contracts, TS16949, ISO14001, and all applicable government regulations and standards.

14. Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by management.



Basic Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Knowledge of:

Customer needs, meeting quality standards for products and services. Production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture, assembly and distribution of goods Machines and tools, including their use and maintenance. Arithmetic and it's applications. Tools and principles involved in production of product

Skills:

Follow directions Read and write the English language Safely drive a forklift

Ability to:

Maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with supervisory personnel and co-workers Maintain systems necessary to collect, to maintain, and analyze data Identify basic problems and communicate them to supervisory personnel. Manage one's own time. Learn/gain knowledge Appropriately use equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.

Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements

The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) Ability to work in both a non-climate controlled manufacturing and office environment. Upper body mobility is required along with the physical requirements of lifting, carrying and pushing/pulling. Must be able to stand 90% of the time with frequent walking. Lift using one or two hands up to 50 lbs. Occasional use of forceful abilities from 1 to 30 pounds during the duration of the shift.
