POSITION SUMMARY


Under the supervision of the Cell Leader and the Shift Leader, loads, unloads, and moves materials within the plant to ensure appropriate materials are available for production.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Material Handling


Performs basic minimum preventative maintenance on hopper loaders, grinders, and dryers to the work instruction. Loads plastic resins into machine hoppers to keep production running Ensures all available grinders are being used where identified. Cleans grinders and filters as needed. Empty grinder bins on an as-needed basis. Responds to and corrects dryer/grinder alarms. Cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators. Identify the Dryer, Material Bins, and Grinder with a label of the current Material. Follow Lock Out / Tag Out procedures as required when working on equipment. Provides up to 3 breaks
Material Movement


Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves. Operates forklift, electric /hand pallet jacks. Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Material Inventory


Order Material from Warehouse using the Material App. Scan Material to lineside location Transfers materials to designated area and keeps material levels full.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS


High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. Good work ethic. 1 - 3 months of related experience and / or training.


LICENSES, CREDENTIALS, AND CERTIFICATIONS


Valid Forklift certification Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Comfort in relating to all levels of management and diversity of personalities Advanced attention to detail and accuracy in all work Intermediate ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences Advanced reasoning ability: carry out written or oral instructions, problem solve, and report any issues immediately to Shift Process Team Leader or Shift Process Technician Intermediate ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; intermediate ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word and Excel


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion. Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Finger Dexterity - The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects. Rate Control - The ability to time your movements or the movement of a piece of equipment in anticipation of changes in the speed and/or direction of a moving object or scene. Reaction Time - The ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears. Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects Trunk Strength - The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing. Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material - Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. Work Environment - Work environment is usually loud. * Tools and Equipment - Scanner, company issued knives / cutters, electric and hand pallet jacks, mechanical hand tools.
