Position Summary

Bridge Brothers is seeking a

Material Handler

to support production operations and inventory management. This role ensures materials flow smoothly throughout the shop and yard, supports job preparation through accurate kitting and staging, and maintains organization of inventory and supplies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with both heavy materials and small parts in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Material Handling & Inventory

Pull orders from inventory, deliver production materials and supplies, and stage finished products in designated areas. Unload inbound shipments; receive and verify materials against purchase orders and packing slips, promptly resolving discrepancies. Maintain inventory spreadsheets used by multiple departments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Count, identify, and track various metal shapes and sizes. Kit material for jobs, including moving, stacking, tagging, and tracking of parts and assemblies. Maintain and monitor small parts inventory; trigger reorders as needed.

Logistics & Coordination

Handle shipping for small packages and coordinate with carriers as required. Work closely with other departments to ensure materials are available and organized for upcoming jobs. Support daily production needs by ensuring materials are properly staged and accessible.

Yard & Safety

Keep the yard, loading areas, and inventory spaces organized and clean. Operate forklifts and other equipment to move, load, and unload materials safely. Secure loads with strapping and proper handling techniques. Learn and adhere to all workplace safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Valid driver's license required.

Forklift certification or experience strongly preferred. Ability to read and analyze inventory documents and spreadsheets. Comfortable working with Google Suite/Excel and updating shared inventory systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of inventory control processes a plus. Ability to identify and differentiate various metal shapes and sizes. Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Role Details

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, Full-Time (occasional overtime as needed).

Employment Type:

Non-Exempt, Hourly.

Based in Pickens, SC.
