Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment! The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of materials and products within the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and accurately. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various equipment.

As a result of continued growth Bericap SC, LLC has a full-time, hourly openings for Material Handlers reporting to the Production Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

General

Ensures that all work undertaken is carried out safely and without injury Ensures Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed at all times (no jewelry, cell phone, nicotine in any form, etc.) Ensures that all food safety issues are reported to the appropriate manager or supervisor Housekeeping duties performed throughout the shift Ability to lift 35 pounds unassisted and while standing/walking for duration of shift Dispose of scrap into proper containers Initiates corrective action for non-conformances Identify Opportunities for Improvement and enter into See It, Sort It, Report It system Able and willing to wear appropriate PPE as required Flexible to quickly adapt to learning new tasks, moving to new areas to meet changing customer demands Duties as assigned per Production Supervisor
Material Handler Functions

Empty scrap bins at vision system as necessary Correct pallets that may need to be repackaged from bags falling in Ensure all corrugate is removed from the floor Interpretation of production schedules OPS Tracker entries Start/Stop PSG and answer alarms Empty trash for all lines Maintaining material supplies to machines Packaging and labeling of WIP/Finished Goods Stretch wrapping and storage of product Dispose of scrap into proper containers

Skills:

Basic math skills Good written and verbal communication skills Material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, manual pallet jacks and bar code scanners Basic computer skills

Experience:

Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience in preferred

Education:

High school diploma is preferred
