Duties

Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately pick, pack, and track materials throughout the warehouse. Assist with order picking using pickers and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders. Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods for quality, and documenting all transactions precisely. Use cranes and heavy equipment to move large or bulky items within the warehouse or construction sites as needed. Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and proper storage practices in compliance with warehouse distribution protocols. Support warehouse supervision by following safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and organizing work areas for optimal efficiency. Contribute to the operation of various types of heavy equipment including clamp trucks, forklifts, cranes, and load/unload machinery to facilitate materials handling. Assist in construction-related tasks when required, demonstrating mechanical knowledge and adaptability in diverse environments. Ensure all activities comply with OSHA regulations and safety guidelines to promote a secure workplace for everyone.

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics environments with a strong understanding of materials handling procedures. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, or other heavy equipment; certification is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking technologies such as pickers. Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes along with the ability to load & unload goods efficiently using appropriate equipment. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate heavy machinery safely and perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting when necessary. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, bending, and manual handling tasks throughout shifts. Understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy and documentation accuracy.
