Overview:

Material Handlers move products in an industrial battery distribution center (DC). Our DC is large in size due to our batteries but operates with a small and mighty team of 20 employees. Unlike some DCs, everyone knows your name and we truly work as a team. Material handlers must perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.

1st Shift Available
Responsibilities:
Must successfully complete the material handling training and be licensed for the equipment used. Capable of performing simple math and record information in written form. Input and extract information from the computer. Load and unload over-the-road trailers with powered equipment. Must be able to understand and communicate in simple English to receive training instruction and to perform team responsibilities. Comply with all safety and health policies and procedures. Maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition. Must be able to operate and follow JD Edwards system. Comply with current quality systems requirements. Follow lean manufacturing procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:Motor skills to operate material handling equipment in locations where product is stored from the floor to 16 foot racks in narrow aisles. Perform various duties requiring walking, sitting, lifting, bending, twisting. Occasionally required to work in extreme environmental conditions (hot, humid, cold). Must be able to wear protective equipment required of the position. Occasional lifting of up to 30-40 lbs.

Education, Experience, Skills Required:Excellent attention to detail Excellent multitasking skills Previous manufacturing or related experience
