The 2nd shift Material Handling Technician performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, and supporting logistics areas. This may include receiving and verifying in-coming materials and supplies, preparing bills of lading and shipping manifests, routing shipments appropriately, moving material within the warehouse, distribution and production facilities, filling customers' orders and preparing orders appropriately.

The opportunity:

Pack, ship, receive and maintain inventory of product/raw material, and fulfill customer orders. Examines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventory Perform administrative tasks related to products/materials such as coordinating shipments, preparing, reviewing, filling and maintaining customer orders, preparing shipping and receiving documents, and using database to enter and maintain information related to products/material Identify issues involving logistics, customer orders, shipping and/or receiving areas May operate machinery, including a forklift The Material Handler is also responsible for maintaining and continuously
improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions

Who you are:

You hold a High School Diploma or equivalent 1 year of working experience English proficiency required to maintain, ensure, and promote safety requirements and procedures for required machinery Able to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work the following shift: Mon-Fri 1:30 PM - 10 PM

Preferred:

Roche Supply Chain operations experience Thorough understanding of the principles and applications of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001 Experience in SAP Basic computer skills with competency using standard software Packages (Word, Excel) Be able to perform basic math calculations Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedure

This position is based in Indianapolis, IN. Qualified candidates must currently reside within a 50-mile radius of Indianapolis.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is 28,700.00 - 53,300.00 USD Annual . Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
